Holly M. Stafford
Principal
Holly Stafford’s practice splits time between environmental law, ranging from the Model Toxics Control Act, to the Clean Water Act, to other federal and state environmental laws, and representing port districts throughout Washington, typically with some overlap between the two. Holly’s port counsel work touches on a wide variety of non-environmental remediation issues, as well, including the Open Public Meetings Act, general governance, and permit compliance. Her success triggering historical insurance policies for cleanups and work on cost recovery actions naturally progressed into other areas of insurance coverage and insurance defense practice. A Whatcom County native, she returned to Bellingham and joined the firm in 2008 after working in municipal defense in Southern California.
