Peter M. Ruffatto
Principal
Peter Ruffatto’s practice focuses on municipal government, port district, and special purpose district law. Peter joined the firm after 23 years of public service, most recently serving as the appointed City Attorney for the City of Bellingham. Peter practices in virtually all areas of municipal law, including governance, labor and employment, public-private partnerships, criminal justice systems, procurement and contracting, open government, land use, intergovernmental transactions, and risk management. Prior to joining the City Attorney’s office, Peter worked in the civil division of the King County Prosecutor’s Office and in private practice at the Reed McClure law firm in Seattle.
